Under the Influence-Week 13

Last week in class we studied Keith Haring, which was so great, as it was World AIDS day. I did not discuss the connection with the kids, but I thought it worked out well. Yesterday we learned about Wassily Kandinsky. It was also the first time we used oil pastels in class. I think the students enjoyed working with them, and I showed them how neat they could look when you spent some time rubbing them in.
Next week is our last class for this semester, but I'm happy to say that the next semester is already full. Looking forward to doing it again. : )

Have a wonderful evening, regards, T.

  3. Hi! It's my first time visiting your blog, and I love these paintings by kids. I have done lots of similar things with kids though I'm not a teacher. I just love to see what kids come up with. Their work is so refreshing. Great job! Thanks for sharing.
